Marta Munte

Hello! I’m Marta, an illustrator and surface pattern designer based in Barcelona. I worked as a children’s book illustrator for more than ten years before discovering the world of surface pattern design. For over fifteen years, I have been creating patterns for fabrics, children’s clothing, wallpaper, stationery and many other products.

My work combines hand-drawn lines, playful shapes and carefully chosen colours to create patterns with a warm, cheerful and handmade feel. My inspiration comes from nature, animals, and the small moments of everyday life. I love creating charming characters and playful designs filled with thoughtful details.

All my designs begin with my own original illustrations and retain the warmth and personality of handmade artwork. They are made for people who love creating, sewing and bringing their own ideas to life.

I hope each pattern brings a little colour, personality and joy to whatever you choose to make. Each one is a little piece of my world, created with care to become part of yours.
